Brighton vs Chelsea

Brighton will be keen to get back to winning form as they face a real challenge at the Amex Stadium against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

The Seagulls were beaten by Burnley narrowly at Turf Moor last Saturday, and rather disappointingly.

However, Chelsea inflicted Manchester City's first league loss of the season - thanks to N'Golo Kante and David Luiz's strikes.

The last time these sides met was back in January, when an Eden Hazard double inspired the Blues in a comfortable 4-0 win at the Amex.

Team News

Brighton forward Glenn Murray has now fully recovered from a shoulder injury which restricted the striker to a substitute appearance against Burnley last weekend.

Alireza Jahanbaksh is back in contention for the Seagulls and Jose Izquierdo's knee injury will be assessed - however, Shane Duffy is still suspended.

Eden Hazard, Cesar Azpilicueta and N'Golo Kante are all set to return to the Chelsea line-up after being rested in their Europa League draw on Thursday.

But Alvaro Morata is a doubt after picking up a knee injury in the same match and Mateo Kovacic remains sidelined.

The Managers

Brighton manager Chris Hughton has described his team's level of performance at the moment as "good" and thought his side were unlucky to come away with nothing against Burnley last Saturday.

"Our level of performance at the moment is good - I thought we were unfortunate not to get anything from last weekend," Hughton insisted.

"That is important because we have some tough matches coming up, and you have to be in those games.

"You have to be part of a good defensive unit as well as standing up to the challenge individually on Sunday."

Match Stats

- Chelsea have won all six of their league games against Brighton - with an aggregate score of 12-1.

- Brighton will be looking for their first win against Chelsea since 1933 in any competition - winning 2-1 in the third round of the FA Cup.

- Glen Murray's goals have been worth nine points in the Premier League this season - a division-high joint with Pierre-Emerick Aubemyang of Arsenal and Richarlison of Everton.

- 13 of the Seagulls' 19 league goals this season have come from a set-piece.

- Kepa Arrizabalaga will be looking for consecutive clean sheets for the first time since August 2017 for Athletic Bilbao in La Liga.
