Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has emerged as a transfer target for Italian giants AC Milan.
Fabregas will see his current contract expire next summer, but Maurizio Sarri wants Chelsea to offer him a new deal.
However, Chelsea have a policy of only offering over 30's one-year extensions, but the Spanish midfielder wants a longer contract; very similarly to the David Luiz situation.
The 31-year-old is free to start negotiations with other foreign teams in the new year and could sign a pre-contract.
AC Milan are the latest side interested in the World Cup winner and sporting director Leonardo has confirmed the Italian club's interest.
"We evaluated it, considering the possibility, but didn't go all in," Leonardo confirmed.
