Mirror Sport report that Chinese club Tianjin Teda are interested in taking the Newcastle striker and are rumoured to be in talks with the 28-year-old's representatives.
The Spaniard joined the Magpies back in 2017 for £4.8m from Stoke City, but has had a tough time adapting to life on Tyneside.
Joselu has scored seven goals in his 49 appearances for the team and has subsequently fell down the pecking order, with Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon both being preferred to the striker.
Rafael Benitez could be looking to get rid of the striker in order to provide some funds for the club to look at potential incomings in January.
