Rachid Ghezzal needs "a bit more time" to settle at Leicester

Leicester City winger Rachid Ghezzal believes he needs "a bit more time" to settle in the Premier League following his summer move.

Ghezzal made the switch from AS Monaco to Leicester in the summer of 2018, and has failed to impress since his transfer.

His performances have meant manager Claude Puel has limited his first-team opportunities at the King Power Stadium.

In 14 Premier League games for the Foxes, Ghezzal has found the net just once, without yet contributing an assist.

The 26-year-old was signed following Riyad Mahrez's big money move to league champions Manchester City.

"The Premier League is different from Ligue 1," Ghezzal told Le Buteur. "There's more contact, physical battles are constant and there's more suspense during games.

"I need a bit more time to adapt, to settle and therefore find my real level. I'm discovering a new way of playing, a new life and a new language."

The Foxes are next in action as they travel to league leaders Liverpool on Wednesday.
