Drinkwater has been lined up by the Turkish side; with the midfielder struggling to get into the first-team setup at Stamford Bridge.

The England midfielder joined the Blues from Leicester City back in 2017 for a deal worth £35m.

Under Antonio Conte (former boss) and now Maurizio Sarri, Drinkwater has been used a rotation player.

The likes of Jorginho, N'Golo Kante, Ross Barkley, Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have all been preferred by Sarri this season.

Fulham have also been linked with a move for the English midfielder.

Drinkwater could become the second Chelsea player to join Fenerbahce in this window, with Victor Moses already making the switch to Turkey.
