Bournemouth vs Chelsea

Bournemouth welcome Chelsea to the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday night, with the Blues looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

The Cherries ended their baron spell last time out in the league, with a 2-0 win over West Ham United.

However, Chelsea put in a disappointing performance against Arsenal and came out losing 2-0.

These sides met at the start of the season at Stamford Bridge: with Pedro and Eden Hazard scoring late goals for the home side in a 2-0 win.

Team News

Bournemouth's new £12m signing Chris Mepham could make his Premier League debut for Chelsea (the Blues released Mepham as a schoolboy).

Dominic Solanke is back in training after a hamstring injury and is getting ever-closer to his Cherries' debut.

Callum Wilson, who was linked with Chelsea earlier in the window, has a knee injury and it will be assessed prior to the match.

Chelsea have no new injury concerns, but Gonzalo Higuain is set to make his Premier League debut, after making his debut against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup.

The Managers

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe: "We know we'll have to be at our best if we're to get something from Chelsea.

"Yes, there's been some talk about Chelsea and their performances, but every time we've come up against them they're one of the best."

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri on Callum Hudson-Odoi's future: "On the pitch, he's doing very well. I'm really very happy with him.

"It's not easy to keep these young players. He is of course one of the best 18-year-old players in Europe, so it's very, very difficult.

"The club told me he's out of the market for sure and probably he will be out of the market in July."
