Lanzini has been sidelined since June of 2018 with a ruptured anterior knee ligament injury suffered in training with his national side Argentina.
The injury was so bad it forced the Argentine midfielder to miss last summer's World Cup.
Lanzini has been taking part in light training on his own for around a month and even took part in training with the rest of his team-mates this week, with the Irons playing Fulham at the end of the week.
Samir Nasri is also fit again after a calf problem and his boss Manuel Pellegrini said: "For this game, we have the squad which played most of the games and maybe Lanzini an Nasri can be included on that list."
