Spurs have beaten Southampton and Leicester City to bounce back from their defeat to North London rivals, Arsenal a couple of weeks ago.

Burnley beat Brighton 1-0 at Turf Moor last weekend, thanks to a James Tarkowski goal in the first-half.

The last time these sides met; Harry Kane stole the show as he bagged a hat-trick in a 3-0 win at Turf Moor.

Team News

Tottenham are set to assess the fitness of Serge Aurier, Kieran Trippier, Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth ahead of the game.

Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama are definitely sidelined for Spurs, but Jan Vertonghten returns following his red card against Arsenal.

Burnley look set to be without midfielders Steven Defour and Johann Berg Gudmundsson, who are both struggling.

Defour has a calf injury and Gudmundsson was substituted last weekend with a tight hamstring.

The Managers

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has insisted him and his side are "more motivated" to face Burnley than they have been in previous games.

"I am more motivated to play against Burnley than previous games - to try and reduce the distance with Liverpool and Manchester City," Pochettino said.

"We are playing for three very important points, to be in the Premier League top four, for me, it is a massive motivation and it is going to be a tough game.

"But we need to try and find a way to approach the game in the best possible condition."

Burnley manager Sean Dyche described Spurs as "brave" after their 1-1 draw in Barcelona in midweek - sealing their Champions League qualification.

"I thought it was a very good result and the way they went about it," Dyche said on Burnley's opponents.

"They were brave, they pressed the lines, they got in the passing lanes, squeezed the pitch and they were brave in doing so.

"There was a bit of noise about how they hadn't brought any players in. I thought they had a pretty handy group there and now it's showing."
