Phil Foden has signed a new five-and-a-half year contract at Manchester City - keeping him at the champions until 2024.
Foden has been with City since the age of eight, rising through the youth ranks until he eventually he was called up to the first team - named as an unused sub against Celtic in the Champions League.
The 18-year-old was part of Pep Guardiola's squad that travelled to the USA for the pre-season tour this year and was impressive against Manchester United and Real Madrid in friendlies.
Foden made his debut for City back in November of last year; replacing Yaya Toure against Feyenoord in the Champions League - becoming the fourth-youngest English player to ever appear in Europe's elite competition.
His Premier League debut soon came about, coming on as a sub against Tottenham Hotspur in December 2017.
Foden's only goal for City came in their 3-0 win over Oxford United in the Carabao Cup - making 23 appearances to date.
Director of Football Txiki Begiristain has expressed his delight regarding Foden's new deal:
"We are delighted to have secured Phil for the next five and a half years. He is an outstanding talent and he is Manchester City born and bred so this is where he wants to play his football.
"Under Pep and with the players we have here around him, he is in the best place possible to develop as a player."
