Manchester City vs Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace edged Leicester City later on in the day, with Roy Hodgson's side hoping for some sort of momentum.

Team News

Manchester City stars Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero have shown no ill-effects from their respective returns from injury against Leicester in midweek.

Danilo is available again for the home side, but David Silva, Vincent Kompany and Benjamin Mendy are all still unavailable.

Crystal Palace will likely recall Wilfried Zaha and James Tomkins, who both sat out of last week's win due to suspension.

Martin Kelly has a muscle problem and he will join Wayne Hennessey on the sidelines, with Cheikhou Kouyate also doubtful.

The Managers

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been speaking about the hectic December schedule for Premier League teams.

"On previous years, we played 26th and 28th, this time we have three or four days between games," Guardiola explained.

"We're probably going to train on the afternoon of the 25th before travelling to Leicester. Normally we train on 3pm or 4pm, maybe (on Christmas Day) we are going to train at 5pm or 6pm to give a few more hours for people at home. The players know we have to play."

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson insisted his team will be doing everything within their will to beat the champions on Saturday.

"It's another chance to show we're a good Premier League team, another chance to get points," the Palace boss said.

"The game is played on the grass and our 11 men will be doing the best they can to beat them."
