A big game at the bottom of the table sees Newcastle United host bottom-of-the-table Fulham team at St. James' Park.
Newcastle produced an excellent performance last weekend, to beat fellow relegation rivals Huddersfield Town 1-0 at the Kirklees Stadium.
Whereas Fulham came out with nothing from a game yet again, as West Ham United beat the Cottagers 2-0 at Craven Cottage.
Team News
Newcastle defender DeAndre Yedlin is available for selection yet again, following his suspension.
Also, fellow Toon defender Federico Fernandez looks to be available again after a calf problem.
Jonjo Shelvey's thigh problem will be assessed before the game - however, Cieran Clark has been ruled out with an ankle injury.
Frank Anguissa is sidelined for the away team, and Ryan Sessegnon is not expected to return to the side following a groin problem.
Stefan Johansen and Aleksandar Mitrovic are both one yellow card away from a one-game suspension.
The Managers
Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez believes his team are going through a strong spell right now, following a very tricky beginning to the season.
"I think we are doing well, but always when I talk about this league, the top sides are so strong that when you have a bad run because you play two or three of them in a row, then everything seems difficult," Benitez said.
"But after, maybe you have two or three games that you can win and you get the points and it seems that everything is fine."
Fulham boss Claudio Ranieri had some very kind words about his opposite number on Saturday.
"I saw him a long time ago in Valencia, he's a great manager who has won a lot (of trophies)," Ranieri said.
"The team is strong, very intensive, tight - I think Rafa is more Italian than me. That's because he's very, very attentive on the tactical movement of the players.
"They were down two months ago and in this moment, they are safe. So, for us, they could be good inspiration."
Match Stats
- Newcastle, if they lose, will lose four consecutive matches against Fulham for the first time since 1982.
- The previous seven Premier League games between the two have ended in a home victory, whilst four of the last five games have ended 1-0.
- Salomon Rondon has scored four goals in his last six league games, as many as the Venezuela striker managed in his previous 24 games.
- If Fulham were to lose, they'd spend Christmas Day at the bottom of the Premier League table. Only three Premier League teams in that position in its 26 seasons have gone onto stay in the league.
- Fulham have just won one of their previous 14 Premier League games this season (L10, D3).
