Man Utd vs Bournemouth

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer will be looking to maintain his 100% record as Manchester United boss as they host AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

Solksjaer has seen his side beat Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town in his first two games in charge to give him the perfect start as manager.

Whereas Bournemouth come into this match not in the best of form, losing 5-0 to Tottenham Hotspur on Boxing Day would have certainly struck their confidence.

These sides met in early November, and despite going a goal up, Bournemouth hearts were broken by a late, late Marcus Rashford strike for United.

Team News

Manchester United forwards Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez will all face late fitness tests.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer confirmed Chris Smalling is not likely to return from his foot problem until mid-January.

Bournemouth will be without captain Simon Francis, after he injured his knee against Tottenham and is expected to be out for nine months.

Lewis Cook, Dan Gosling and Adam Smith remain on the sidelines for Eddie Howe's team.

The Managers

Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has described the last two matches as "fantastic" and insisted they need to keep their focus.

"When you win, everyone is happy so let's just keep that run going," the former United striker said.

"We've got to focus on our performance against Bournemouth and get three points because the last two games have been fantastic."

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe revealed his team are looking forward to the challenge ahead of them on Sunday at Old Trafford.

"Sunday will be a tough game," Howe admitted. "Whenever you go to Old Trafford, it's a tough assignment.

"We're looking forward to rising to the challenge, they've had two good results. We'd love to elevate our position of course, we're still in control of what we do this season. That's important and we're always striving to improve."
