It's hardly surprising that the feeling at Liverpool currently is a good one. The Reds sit four points clear at the top of the Premier League table - in a bid to win their first league trophy since 1990.
Sturridge hasn't featured too much this campaign for the Reds, with Roberto Firmino being the preferred option in centre-forward.
With the former England striker not featuring a lot, many have cast doubt over his relationship with boss Jurgen Klopp.
However, Liverpool's #15 was full of praise for the German, claiming he always tries to get the best out of his players.
"He's cool. He's passionate, he tries to get the best out of everybody," Sturridge said to BBC Radio 1Extra.
"We've been on the up since he's come to the club and we hope it will be a successful season for us."
When quizzed on his future, Sturridge insisted he is not looking anywhere beyond the next game for the Reds.
"I ain't gassing anybody up," the striker continued. "I ain't saying anything that's going to incriminate me to make me look like the bad guy or the good guy. There's a lot of football to be played.
"There's a great vibe. It's one game at a time, that's the truth at the end of the day. There's a lot of football to be played, anything can happen, we're just focusing on ourselves and continuing to put our best foot forward, working hard and we'll see where it takes us in the end.
"Hopefully this year will be our year but we've got to stay focused, not get too excited because there's a lot of football to be played."
