Liverpool have once again reclaimed top spot in the Premier League, after scoring two second-half goals against Cardiff City in Wales.
Georginio Wijnaldum scored early in the second-half, and James Milner converted from the penalty spot with under 10 minutes remaining.
Mohamed Salah won the penalty for the Reds; with Cardiff boss Neil Warnock saying the Egyptian clearly dived at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Liverpool are now two points above Manchester City - and will be praying bitter rivals, United, can do them a favour on Wednesday night.
The Reds, rather unsurprisingly, started the brighter out of the two sides, and Roberto Firmino skied a glorious chance for the visitors after being found by Sadio Mane.
Mane then had a chance to open the scoring after being found at the near-post by a low Trent Alexander-Arnold delivery.
Salah had another opportunity before the half-time interval, but the forward's shot was smothered on by Neil Etheridge.
Oumar Niasse had Cardiff's best chance of the first-half, but his volleyed effort was tipped over the crossbar by Alisson.
Shortly after the half-time break, Wijnaldum found some room from an Alexander-Arnold corner and smashed past Etheridge to send Liverpool into the lead.
It was a well-worked corner, with manager Jurgen Klopp revealing after the game, that the players had spoken about the routine in the changing rooms at half-time.
Jordan Henderson had an excellent chance to kill the game off, but the captain's effort was blazed over following a cut-back from Mane.
However, Salah ran into the box and was man-handled to the ground by Cardiff skipper Sean Morrison and it was a penalty.
Milner, who came onto the pitch about a minute before after a Fabinho head injury, stepped up and sent Etheridge the wrong way to see the match off for the Reds.
Three more hurdles for Liverpool - who will be desperate to see City trip over at least one of them in their remaining matches.
