The Gunners were beaten by Manchester United in the fourth-round of the FA Cup on Friday night, with both defenders going off injured - to make Unai Emery's defensive "crisis" even worse.
Koscielny was accidentally kicked in the head by United striker Romelu Lukaku, leaving the centre-back down for around 10 minutes.
"I hope they are not two big injuries," Emery said after the match. "Sokratis hurt his ankle - I hope not a lot.
"Koscielny is different. It was maybe a break. I hope not but he's going to the hospital and we're going to wait."
Asked where Koscielny suffered a break to, Emery pointed to his jaw, and replied: "He is going to the hospital for analysis. Maybe he has a break, I hope not."
