Arsenal have climbed back into the top four after beating 10-man Watford by a single goal at Vicarage Road, thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang gave Arsenal an early lead at Vicarage Road following a howler from Ben Foster that saw the striker tackle the ball into the net.
Troy Deeney was then sent off to cap off a disastrous start from the Hornets after an arm was raised on Lucas Torreira.
The Gunners are now fourth in the Premier League table - leapfrogging Manchester United and Chelsea with their first clean sheet away from home in the league this season!
Arsenal knew they could move into the top-four with a win at Watford, but their away form has been so poor recently - the challenge against a solid Hornets' side was a big one.
Some relentless pressure from Aubameyang and a wayward touch from Foster allowed the Gabon striker to charge the ball down and rebound it to give Arsenal an early lead.
It was a nightmare start for the home side but a dream one for the visitors - with their advantage about to grow even more.
Deeney swung his arm in Torreira's direction, and the Uruguayan went down holding his face - much to the Watford captain's disgust - then, he was shown a straight red card.
Craig Cathcart came close to levelling the match for the Hornets, but his low strike was saved onto the post by Bernd Leno.
Etienne Capoue then came close and saw his 25-yard free-kick tipped wide from Leno on the half-hour mark.
But Aubameyang's 10th minute goal meant the Gunners went into half-time with a goal advantage at Vicarage Road.
Mesut Ozil was sent on by Unai Emery at half-time; with the German replacing Torreira, who was the Watford fan's favourite villain after the first-half sending off incident.
The first chance of the second-half went to the Gunners - with Aubameyang needing any sort of touch to finish after Alex Iwobi's dangerous near-post cross.
Some more positive work from Iwobi moments later saw him break down the left-hand side and find Henrikh Mkhitaryan at the far post, but Foster came out quick and saved well.
Watford were the next side to come close when Abdoulaye Doucoure's lay-off was hit first time by the left foot of Adam Masina and the ball rattled off the crossbar.
Granit Xhaka had a shot on target saved on 78 minutes from the edge of the box. The connection was sweet enough - but it was straight at Foster.
A mistake at the back from Arsenal allowed Andre Gray a great chance, with the striker rounding Leno well, before substitute Ainsley Maitland-Niles blocked the English forward's low shot.
Will Hughes had a header that sailed just over the crossbar, with Daryl Janmaat's delivery being met by the midfielder.
THE MANAGERS
Watford boss Javi Gracia: "I am very proud of my players. I am not interested in the result, we had our chances, hit the woodwork and created chances with 10 players.
"I respect the referee's decision. In my opinion, it is clear, maybe a yellow card, but never a red card. I do not agree with the decision.
"Troy is very sad. It was an important game for us, he knew it. The sending off was very tough for us."
Arsenal manager Unai Emery: "We were competitive today, but in the circumstances, we can control the match better. We didn't make it easy to score the second goal. We did not control the ball in the attacking third.
"A clean sheet is very important. It is going to give us a lot of information, this match. Our analysis will give us confidence.
"For some players like Konstantinos Mavropanos, it is good, to play some minutes and give others some rest for Thursday. It is a different competition; we have a two-goal advantage against Napoli, but it is going to be very difficult."
