Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

The pressure has eased off Maurizio Sarri after his Chelsea side after they beat London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.

An opening goal from Pedro was added to by Kieran Trippier, who turned the ball into his own net with just over five minutes remaining.

Kepa Arrizabalaga was on everyone's minds before the game started and Sarri decided to drop the Spanish 'keeper and start with Argentine Willy Caballero after Sunday's antics.

The first-half saw little-to-no chances created from either side and the game only came to life in the second period.

Pedro, who was the Blues' best player on the night, beat Ben Davies and then Toby Alderweireld, before smashing it past Hugo Lloris from 10-yards.

It was deserved after Sarri's team really upped the tempo of the game once the second-half started.

Harry Kane was very quiet for Spurs, who offered him very little support. But the England skipper did have a chance from eight-yards out, but he couldn't sort his feet out and the chance had gone.

Six minutes from time, the misery was added to from Spurs' point-of-view, when Trippier overhit a backpass to Lloris and it went beyond the French goalkeeper.
