Liverpool 5-0 Watford

Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk both netted doubles as Liverpool smashed five past Watford to maintain their top spot in the Premier League title race.

Mane, van Dijk and Divock Origi completed the scoring for the Reds as they cruised past a helpless Hornets side.

Trent Alexander-Arnold provided a hat-trick of assists - becoming the youngest ever player in Premier League history to do that in a single game.

Liverpool took an early lead to get rid of any potential nerves; with Mane heading in excellently from a pin-point Trent cross.

But Mane's second goal was the one everyone is talking about. Again, Alexander-Arnold whipped the ball in, and after a bad first touch from the Senegalese forward - he then managed to lift it over the 'keeper with a backheel effort.

That's how the scored stayed as we headed into the break with Liverpool looking very comfortable.

Watford did look slightly better in the second-half and substitute Andre Gray produced a good save from Alisson on two separate occasions.

However, some nice work from Origi on the left-hand side, but some poor defending from the visitors, saw the Belgian grab just his second league goal of the season.

It was soon four, when Alexander-Arnold's free-kick cross was headed in by a free van Dijk.

Van Dijk was at the double when Liverpool's other full-back, Andrew Robertson found him with an inch-perfect delivery and the Holland captain made no mistake yet again.
