Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes Manchester City are still the best team in the world, despite the champions' recent drop in form.
The Reds are currently top of the Premier League; seven points above 2017/18's champions, and City host Liverpool on Thursday night.
Tottenham Hotspur are now second in the league table, above City by a point, but Klopp still thinks City are the best team in the world.
"It is a normal game against Manchester City but a very difficult one, one of the most difficult you can play in modern football," Klopp said.
"They are a really strong football team with an outstanding manager. Before you play them, you never know.
"We have to be prepared as good as possible, be brave, full of desire and angry again like in all the other games.
"The opponent is, for me, still the best team in the world."
