Bayern Munich and Colombia star James Rodriguez has emerged as a target for Premier League sides Liverpool and Arsenal.

A report in the Mirror has suggested Rodriguez is unlikely to join the German champions on a permanent basis, with the midfielder being on loan from Real Madrid.
Bayern do have the option to sign the Colombia international as part of the two-year loan deal, but Rodriguez has had a tricky relationship with Niko Kovac and has failed to cement a starting position at Bayern this season.
The same report claims that Arsenal are leading the race to sign Rodriguez, but a move to Liverpool is still not out of the equation.
Rodriguez started his professional career in Colombia, before moving to Argentina and then to Portugal with FC Porto, he then endured a one-year spell in France with Monaco before the big money move to Real Madrid in 2014 after a golden World Cup for the playmaker.
