Pochettino wants to finish career at Spurs

Mauricio Pochettino has expressed his desire to remain as Tottenham Hotspur boss for 20 years and finish his career in North London.

Pochettino joined Spurs from Southampton in 2014 and has guided them to fifth, third, second and third in his four seasons in charge.

The 46-year-old Argentine has been linked with a move to Manchester United recently following Jose Mourinho's departure last month.

"I hope, or I wish to be here 20 years, and decide to leave or to finish my career here," Pochettino revealed.

"I am so focused here, and want to help the club want to be in history. It would be fantastic. I am so happy to be here. I am so happy happy to work in that pressure. Why not?"

Pochettino is hoping to emulate former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, who was the manager of Spurs' North London rivals for 22 years before last season's retirement.

"But I don't know because I need to ask (Wenger) one day, if I have the possibility, if he is so happy in the way that he finished," Pochettino continued.

"What I saw from my point of view, it was so unfair how the people treated him."
