Robertson: "Title race to go to the wire"

Andy Robertson believes the title race will go right down to "the wire", with Liverpool and Manchester City currently occupying the top two spots.

The Reds lead the pack at the moment, currently sitting seven points above City, although the champions are in action on Monday night, hosting Wolves.

Robertson was key in Liverpool's 1-0 win over Brighton on Saturday afternoon and he believes the battle will go on right until the end of the season.

"It doesn't matter how you get there," Robertson said regarding winning the Premier League.

"We know it's going go right to the wire. City are a fantastic team and we believe we are a really good team.

"It's going to go right to the wire: there are still a lot of big games to come and we (have to) just keep knocking them off."

Liverpool's win against Brighton wasn't exactly the most glamorous of victories; but the Reds once again showed their "winning mentality", something they haven't possessed in previous seasons.

"It's just the winning mentality and finding a way," the Liverpool left-back added. "But that's what all the teams are doing now.

"City haven't played their best but have been winning games and Tottenham have done the same, so I think we are all showing signs of doing that.

"Whoever wins the league will look back on some games and go 'Do you know what, we probably weren't at our best there, and that was probably one that helped us turn one point into three or zero into one."
