Tottenham 0-1 Man Utd

David de Gea produced a second-half masterclass to ensure it's six wins out of six for Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.

Manchester United took the lead just before the half-time break through Marcus Rashford, who drove the ball brilliantly into the far corner.

After that, it was all about de Gea, who pulled off numerous world-class saves to keep Mauricio Pochettino's side out.

Harry Winks found himself with a good opportunity early on after being played through, but the midfielder was seemingly looking for a team-mate across goal - but nobody was there.

United then had a good chance when Jesse Lingard was the recipient of a poor Toby Alderweireld header, but the England attacker couldn't find the target with his half-volley from close-range.

Anthony Martial made a chance out of nothing, running in from the left-hand side with Kieran Trippier not being able to cope with the speed and directness of Martial; but Hugo Lloris saved it with his feet.

Spurs thought they'd taken the lead when Dele Alli latched onto the end of a Trippier cross with Harry Kane eventually finding the net but he was stood in an offside position.

Moussa Sissoko was forced off after pulling a hamstring whilst sprinting, with the midfielder being replaced by Erik Lamela.

Paul Pogba played an excellent through ball just before half-time; finding Rashford who drove the ball low and hard past Lloris.

It was a fantastic goal and a fantastic end to the first-half for the visitors, and Tottenham were struggling. United were looking a force again.

After the break, Pogba's surging run saw him rampage through Spurs' defence, but Lloris did well to tip it over the crossbar.

Immediately after that Kane had the best chance of Spurs' match, with Eriksen's delightful cross finding the #10; but he could only head straight at David de Gea from close-range.

Pogba was denied against by Lloris; this time the France goalkeeper making a terrific save on his international team-mate's strike from the edge of the box.

United were controlling the ball, but they got counter-attacked on with Kane instrumental in the build-up playing through Alli, who did everything right but hit the ball straight at de Gea. Huge chance for Tottenham.

It was turning into chance-after-chance for Spurs. Alderweireld this time at the near post from an Eriksen corner, but some insane reactions from de Gea kept the ball out.

The Spaniard was having a world-class game, as he so often does in the bigger matches. Alli this time, cut inside and on the half-volley, de Gea palmed it away.

Fernando Llorente came on for Spurs for the final 10 minutes of the game and he was involved in yet another big chance. This time Kane, who worked some space well but de Gea's feet saved it yet again!

Llorente then had a chance after Trippier's cross but the Spaniard's shot was de Gea's easiest save of the match.

The Managers

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino: "I am so pleased and I'm proud. After four and half years, the second-half performance was the best performance I have seen Tottenham play.

"It was amazing. In football, sometimes you deserve to win and don't and other times, you do not and you win. This is why we love football.

"We conceded a counter-attack in the first-half but the second was the best performance I have seen. We were not clinical and sometimes you score with less opportunities but it is nothing to complain about. The team played unbelievable football and everyone who watched the game can feel the same as myself."

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer: "You expect to win every single game at Manchester United. You won't, but you must think that. That's the mentality of this group.

"In the first-half we were excellent and in the second they put us under pressure. We could have scored a few as well but we had a good back four and David (de Gea) was unbelievable.

"We created enough chances to put the game away by the break, but if you don't score you will be under pressure. We defended fantastically."
