The Belgium forward has claimed he is willing to wait until the end of the season before making a conclusive decision on his future, but both parties would prefer an earlier decision.
Last month, Maurizio Sarri insisted it was about time Hazard made his mind up over his future at the club.
Madrid have all-but ruled out a January move for Hazard, but they are expected to at least make an enquiry in the summer regarding the winger's future.
However, Telegraph Sport are reporting that Chelsea have set a £100m (€112m) price-tag on their star player, as they look to get as much from the Belgian as possible.
