Arsenal 2-0 Chelsea

Arsenal have moved back up to fifth place and now just three points behind Chelsea, after beating the Blues 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Goals from Alexandre Lacazette and defender Laurent Koscielny in the first-half were enough for the Gunners to see off their London rivals.

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin was stretchered off, with what looked a serious muscle injury with 70 minutes gone.

Arsenal had a superb chance early on, with just five minutes gone. Lacazette's low cross found his strike-partner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, but the striker couldn't connect properly with the ball.

The Gunners started brilliantly and Sokratis had a golden chance, too, when he beat his marker at the far post but somehow headed off target.

Sokratis' defensive partner, Koscielny then headed - this time on target, but Kepa showed great reflexes to keep the ball out.

Arsenal's pressure was made to pay soon, though, when Lacazette received the ball from Bellerin and found some space and smashed past Kepa from a tight angle. Great finish.

Pedro nearly offered an immediate response for Chelsea, but despite lobbing Bernd Leno - the Spaniard's shot drifted wide.

Sead Kolasinac's cross to Aubameyang produced an acrobatic effort from the Gabon striker. But it just went wide - would've been one of the best goals this season.

It was soon Arsenal who had a two-goal cushion at the Emirates, when Koscielny's attempt at a header went all wrong - but luckily for the defender, it bounced off his shoulder and past Kepa.

Arsenal were playing brilliant football and Chelsea were chasing shadows for most of the first-half.

Marcos Alonso came close to getting a goal back for the Blues, but his header hit the post and went wide.

After the break, Chelsea looked a totally different side and begun to string some neat moves together in Arsenal's half.

Kolasinac had a great opportunity for the Gunners and tried to square it across goal but Chelsea somehow cleared.

Bellerin was stretchered off the pitch with just 20 minutes remaining, which is a real shame for the Gunners full-back - who had an excellent game up until then.
