Arsenal vs Cardiff

Arsenal welcome Cardiff City to the Emirates Stadium with the Welsh side playing their first game since the sudden disappearance of Emiliano Sala.

Sala was reported missing last week, following a plane journey from FC Nantes to come and link up with his new team-mates at Cardiff.

The Premier League world has been dominated by the Sala events this week, and we would like to wish his family and friends all the best.

These sides met earlier in the season, and it was a five-goal thriller. Arsenal winning it in the last 10 minutes of the game 3-2.

Team News

Arsenal defenders Sokratis and Laurent Koscielny are both expected to be out, with both players picking up injuries in Friday night's FA Cup defeat to Manchester United.

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock will have a difficult decision regarding his players' state of minds following the off-the-pitch events recently.

Sean Morrison remains out for the Bluebirds following an operation getting his appendix out.

The Managers

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery: "Our focus now is very clear: the Premier League. We're also going to play the Europa League with big motivation. It's one way to the Champions League.

"We need to be concentrated for the three points like we were against Chelsea."

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock on the disappearance of club-record signing Emiliano Sala: "It has been a traumatic week and even now I cannot get my head around the situation.

"It's impossible to sleep. I've been in football management for 40 years and it's by far the most difficult week in my career, by an absolute mile.

"It's probably hit me harder than anyone else as I've met the lad and talked to him for the last six to eight weeks."
