Cardiff City picked up a vital three points in their bid for Premier League safety with a precious away win against relegation-rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing scored a superb goal in the 22nd-minute to earn the most crucial of three points for the Bluebirds at the Amex.
Sean Morrison headed in Cardiff's second goal just after half-time to send the away support into pandemonium and the home fans into utter shock.
The Bluebirds are still in 18th - but are now just two points off the Seagulls - with four games remaining in the league.
Cardiff started the game on the back-foot, with Solly March firing into the side-netting very early on at the Amex.
But on 22 minutes, the Bluebirds found a surprise opener on the South Coast. Mendez-Laing curled the ball in from 25-yards in fine fashion.
The rest of the first-half didn't produce too much in the way of chances, with both sides' tempo quite slow for the remaining minutes.
Cardiff started the second-half on the front-foot and doubled their advantage when Victor Camarasa whipped the ball in and Morrison scored a crucial goal.
Glenn Murray had a good chance to half the deficit, but the striker could only fire just over the crossbar.
Jose Izquierdo played in Florin Andone but the striker's effort was well blocked by the second goalscorer Morrison with little time remaining.
