Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has suggested his position in the future could lie elsewhere at Anfield.
Trent currently plays as a right-back for the Reds and has excelled there, especially this season - establishing himself as the team's first-choice - forcing Nathaniel Clyne to join fellow Premier League side Bournemouth on loan.
However, the 20-year-old has admitted that he would be happy with playing further forward in the future.
"That's (the position) up to the manager. I'm happy to play wherever he puts me, I think.
"Right now, obviously he sees me as a full-back and I'm more than happy to play there.
"I think it's important to bring different dimensions to the position.
"Obviously, when I was growing up, Ashley Cole came in and showed that you don't have to be just a defender as a full-back.
"He came in and dominated going forward, brought a new dimension and changed the way full-backs are now."
Alexander-Arnold is likely to feature as Liverpool travel to struggling Fulham on Sunday - live on Sky Sports (14:15 K.O).
Trent's really established himself as a great option for full-back. But I think as the youngster progresses - he could potentially push on further up the field. Agree?
