Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has insisted he is trying to "soak up" the Premier League title race between the Reds and Manchester City.
The Reds have not won a title since 1990, but came mightily close in 2013/14 season but for a collapse right at the defining stage left the trophy to City.
Jurgen Klopp's men survived a massive scare at the weekend, where they scored a late penalty to edge Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage.
The 20-year-old is determined to make his first experience of a title chase count, as Liverpool hope to protect their one-point lead over the reigning champions.
Alexander-Arnold said to Sky Sports News:
"It's massive. Obviously I was a fan during the 13/14 season when we came so close, so it's nice to be involved in a title race.
"You don't get to say that many times in your career. It's trying to embrace it, soak it all up and hopefully we'll be successful at the end of the season."
Alexander-Arnold has recently joined up with the England squad ahead of this week's European Qualifiers, but club football continues to dominate the media's attention.
Man City have a game in hand on their rivals, due to FA Cup commitments at the weekend, but the Liverpool #66 has insisted he is only focused on his own team at this moment.
"I'm not even sure when their game in hand is or what the situation with the table is.
"It's important for us to just focus on ourselves. It's a bit cliched, but that's the main thing for us.
"Just try and be the best that we can be, and hopefully at the end of the season we'll be coming away with some silverware.
"It all comes from the manager. Everything we do comes from our manager.
"We try and go out there and play in the way he wants us to play, go and do the things that he wants us to do, so it's important for us to think the way he wants us to think as well."
Trent has been brilliant this season. He alone deserves a Premier League title!
