Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli has been summoned by Gareth Southgate for his first time in the England national squad...
The 26-year-old shot-stopper has been called up to the squad for England's UEFA Nations League opener versus Spain, and the friendly against Switzerland a few days later.
Bettinelli has one England under-21 appearance to his name, when the 'keeper featured back in 2015.
He was a key part to Fulham earning their promotion to the Premier League last season and has impressed in the couple of games he has played this season.
Bettinelli saved a first-half penalty from Brighton's Pascal Gross in their 2-2 draw with the Seagulls on Saturday.
Fulham signed two new goalkeepers in the summer and this put Bettinelli's place under threat, with interest from neighbours Chelsea.
Bettinelli will be back in action for Fulham, when he returns from England duty... against Manchester City, where he will undoubtedly have a busy game.
