Coming into the game, it looked like the battle of the two biggest 'overachievers' in the Premier League, with both sides making very impressive starts to their campaigns.
However, Watford are without a win since the start of September, when they beat Tottenham at Vicarage Road.
Things didn't start very well for the Hornets either, when a Bournemouth counter-attack was eventually finished off by David Brooks, despite the best efforts of Ben Foster.
Bournemouth were looking deadly going forward and they soon were 2-0 up in London.
Christian Kabasele fouled Josh King inside the box and the defender saw red for Watford!
King took the penalty and doubled the visitor's advantage and it was a nightmare start for the Hornets, who were a man down and two goals down.
Just before the half-time whistle, Bournemouth had another! Some great work from Callum Wilson, who delivered a perfect cross for King who headed home and had his second and Bournemouth's third.
It was looking near-on impossible for the home side to salvage something from this game.
Any sort of hope of the Hornets getting back into the game somehow were completely destroyed when Wilson made it 4-0 straight away in the second-half.
Wilson lifted it over Foster before tapping home to give the Cherries a dream start to the second-half.
The game finished like that and I imagine for all of the Watford fans, they would have been counting down the minutes!
Really disappointing afternoon for the Hornets, but take nothing away from Bournemouth who were excellent in the capital!
