Brighton earn a well-earned point against Fulham after going 2-0 down.
It went from bad to worse for Chris Houghton’s men who saw Pascal Gross’s penalty saved in the 24th minute and went into the break 1-0 down despite being the better side.
2 Goals from Glenn Murray gave Brighton a point they deserved but the main talking point was Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Serbian put Fulham 2-0 up in the 62nd minute but also gave away a stupid penalty when he controlled the ball with his arm in the box when under no pressure.
Brighton started the game off well, attaching Fulham and putting them on the back foot.
Brighton pressured Fulham heavily in the first ten minutes but were unable to create any real goal scoring opportunities.
Both sides struggled to threaten each other with Brighton struggling to create chances and Fulham struggling to keep hold of the ball.
On the 24TH minute, Brighton’s persistence finally pays off when Fulham forward, Luciano Vietto produces a silly challenge on Glenn Murray, giving Brighton a penalty.
Fulham keeper Marcus Bettinelli guesses right and produces a great save to deny Pascal Gross.
Quickly after, Gross whips a corner in which is met by Glenn Murray whose header goes just wide of the post.
Brighton continue to harass Fulham but are unable to put away the chances they create, Fulham look on the back foot as half-time approaches.
A bit of class from Jean Michael Seri sees him chip a beautiful ball into Andre Schurrle who makes it 1-0 to Fulham.
Brighton were the far better side and would’ve been disappointed to not be in the lead at half-time let alone down 1-0 after Fulham score there only real chance of the half.
In the 56th minute, winger Solly March misses a big chance for Brighton after he is played through by a great ball from Davy Propper, March can only hit the shot over the bar.
Fulham make it 2 when striker Aleksandar Mitrovic capitalizes on a mistake by Lewis Dunk, sees his first shot saved by Mat Ryan but is there for the second try and hits into the back of the net.
In the 67th minute Brighton are given a way back in when Anthony Knockaert delivers a ball into Glenn Murray who scores from 10 yards out, the game begins to pick up.
Mitrovic brings the ball down with his arm despite being under no pressure to give Brighton a penalty.
Glenn Murray steps up and converts this one in the 84th minute drawing Brighton level after going 2-0 down to Fulham.
Ryan Sessegnong has Fulham’s last chance of the game as he cuts in well but is unable to get any power into his shot.
In the 93rd minute, Martin Montoya hits a long shot but it goes wide of the far post and that is the last chance of the game.
A well-earned point for Brighton that will leave Fulham asking questions of themselves, especially Aleksandar Mitrovic.
