BRIGHTON VS WOLVES: PREVIEW

ree

Brighton host Wolves at the Amex Stadium, looking to build some momentum after their impressive 0-1 win away at Newcastle.

Wolves will be looking to bounce back from their first home loss of the season last week against Watford.

The 13th place Seagulls will be looking to earn three points to close the gap to the ninth place Wanderers to one point if they win on Saturday.

Wolves will be looking to keep their position at the top end of the table by picking up the three points in this fixture.

MANAGERS COMMENTS:

Brighton manager Chris Hughton has been very impressed with what he's seen from his opposition Wolves so far this season.

"I think they thoroughly deserve the points they have got. They've obviously had some big results, and I think they're a team that will do well this season," Hughton said.

"Their strength has been the core of the team that's stayed together and they have good offensive options.

"The spirit in the camp is good at the moment - you'll have ups and down but the morale is very good at the moment."

"Last Saturday's victory was significant because of the opposition's league position - we soaked up a lot of pressure throughout and we had to defend very well. It gives you a really nice team feeling after a game like that."

Wolves Manager Nuno Esprito Santo says the team must "bounce back" from last week's defeat to Watford.

"It is over. We analyse, work on it and move to the next game.

"It was not a good game, many factors can be spoken but we analyse internally and go for the next one.

"Every time after a bad result we have to bounce back and worry about our game plan. The performance is everything in this moment of the season."

TEAM NEWS:

Brighton's top scorer Glenn Murray suffered concussion against Newcastle last weekend and will be assessed.

Davy Propper and Pascal Gross remain out with ankle injuries but Bruno has recovered from a back spasm.

Wolves head coach Santo has named an unchanged side for the opening nine league matches but hinted the defeat against Watford could be the catalyst for changes.

Adama Traore and Ivan Cavaleiro are among those pushing for a first start.
