BURNLEY VS BOURNEMOUTH: PREVIEW

Bournemouth’s great start to the season has a good chance to continue as they travel to struggling Burnley this Saturday at 15:00 (BST)...

Sean Dyche’s Burnley sit bottom of the table with just one point after 5 games, whereas Bournemouth are currently 5th just two points from a champions league place.

The Cherries ran out 4-2 winners last week over former Premier League Champions Leicester and Burnley were defeated by a last-minute goal at Molineux.

It’s fair to say the early Europa League qualifiers took a massive toll on Sean Dyche’s small squad but he will be hoping that they can pick themselves up this weekend.

TEAM NEWS:

Bournemouth duo Charlie Daniels and Kyle Taylor are big doubts for this weekend’s game for the Cherries.

Howe said "Charlie Daniels is still a doubt and Kyle Taylor looks like he’s picked up a calf problem.

"Apart from that, we’re pretty good."

Junior Stanislas could feature this weekend after playing his first minutes since March in Tuesday’s Hampshire Senior Cup win over Eastleigh.

The Clarets received a welcome injury boost as Robbie Brady featured in an in-house game earlier this week and Stephen Defour stepped up his recovery by playing for the u-23’s.

And Dyche insisted he is delighted with the progress being made by the pair, as they close in on a return to the squad.

“Steven is going well. He is getting stronger and won’t be involved with the first team, yet, but he is closer and we had a little in-house game today for him and Robbie,” explained Dyche.

BETTING ODDS/PREDICTION:

It’s fair to say this game could be a really cagey affair but with Burnley conceding over 30 shots last week to newly promoted Wolves and Bournemouth looking so strong against Leicester I would have to say a 2-0 win for Bournemouth.

2-0 to Bournemouth is at 10/1 on Paddy Power so a £10 bet will return £110 including stake.

Or if you just fancy a simple Bournemouth win that’s at 6/4 so £10 will return £25 including stake.

I think Bournemouth will have too much for a struggling Burnley side, and the Cherries will race to an early lead and comfortably win 3-0.
