TEAM NEWS

Burnley defender James Tarkowski could make his first appearance for a month, after returning from his hernia surgery, being an unused substitute on Saturday.

Ben Gibson has recovered from a similar injury, but midfielder Steven Defour is a doubt with a knee injury.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson is set to return to the side after a one-match suspension and he could make his 300th career league appearance.

Sadio Mane could be out for Liverpool, after the winger had stitches on his cut foot and full-back Andy Robertson is nursing a minor injury.

THE MANAGERS

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has insisted his side need to push their problems aside quickly, as second-placed Liverpool travel to Turf Moor.

"I know the players we are working with, and I know the honesty and the endeavour and I know some of the quality. That sometimes gets pushed aside when results aren't going your way.
"The players are still working and have been good around the place. We've had disappointments before and pushed them aside quickly, and we've got to do that again."

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has called on his team to "fight" for another game, as they will most likely still be buzzing from their dramatic 1-0 win over Everton on Sunday.

"We have to be ready, there's nothing negative in winning late against Everton. I should not be concerned that we struggle to realise starts again at 0-0 and we have to fight (for) another 95 minutes.
"I think that's disrespectful to my players if I tell them that. We have to be ready, 38 times in the league and as much as we can in the other competitions."
