Cardiff lock horns with Arsenal this Sunday at the Cardiff City Stadium, as Bluebirds manager Neil Warnock prepares to welcome his first 'big six' opponent.
The 69-year-old veteran has admitted it might be his "last chance" to manage at the top level and wants to "enjoy it as much as I can", he knows his Cardiff side need to start scoring goals.
The Gunners have had no problem finding the next this season with 2 against Chelsea and 3 against West Ham, but on the contrary Cardiff have failed to score all season.
POINTS SURELY DROPPED BY CARDIFF
When fans of newly-promoted Cardiff looked at the fixture list when it was released back in June, they would have been purring at the fact they would be facing Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City, all in September.
However, they faced Bournemouth, Newcastle and Huddersfield in the first three, and would have hoped for more than the two points they have picked up so far.
City were second best against Bournemouth but against Newcastle and Huddersfield, they played well, and should have taken 3 points in both games, especially being a man up in each match.
CARDIFF CHIEF'S VERDICT
"I think the lads have given everything they can, really. I've been quite pleased with their performances," Warnock said.
"I've been pleased. It's just, as you go higher, you have got to take your chances really, and we haven't taken them."
Cardiff really should have scored against Newcastle, with Kenneth Zohore missing a handful of chances, however, Warnock was not to be critical of his players.
"I think it’s down to me a little bit more than them really. I know what my lads can do," he said.
"I’ve got to come up with a solution."
EMERY OFF THE MARK
Unai Emery got his first win as Arsenal manager despite going 1 down to West Ham at the Emirates last time out, which will have been a relief for the Spaniard.
The Gunners supporters would have been cursing their luck after losses to Man City (2018 PL Champions) and Chelsea (2017 PL Champions) in their opening two matches.
Despite being outclassed by Pep Guardiola's Man City, their performance against Chelsea was encouraging, except from in defence.
If it wasn't for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's wastefulness in front of goal at Stamford Bridge, his side might go into this match on the back of consecutive wins.
But as it is, they face a tough task in breaking down Cardiff, and defending against their direct threat.
In the Championship last term their direct speed of 2.2 metres per second was quicker than any side in the top flight last season.
The question is will it work in the Premier League? And will it get them a goal? Last season Crystal Palace set a Premier League record by failing to score in their first six matches.
So failing to net against Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City would mean they would need to score against Burnley in Matchday 7 to avoid becoming record holders.
Emery: "We are making progress. We have only played three matches. We need to know the communication with the players, so that we can do the high pressing. The same in this game.
"I want to continue improving in the next match on Sunday against Cardiff."
PREDICTION
I think Cardiff will get off the mark in terms of scoring this Saturday, the atmosphere will be nothing short of electric.
It is hard to look past Arsenal with their attacking talent and I think the best is yet to come.
This won't be an easy victory for arsenal, and if they get it I think it sets them up nicely for the rest of the season because their away form this year has been awful.
