CHELSEA PREVIEW: LIVERPOOL (H)

ree

Chelsea will look to move to the top of the Premier League table whilst maintaining their unbeaten record this season as they face top of the league Liverpool on Saturday.

This will be the second meeting between the sides in a week, with The Blues defeating Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield, although we can't read into that game too much ahead of tomorrow, as both sides fielded hugely weakened teams.

It was Eden Hazard's superb solo effort which sealed the win for Chelsea on Wednesday night, and speaking ahead of the game, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri believes there is more to come from the Belgian:

"I am absolutely convinced that he can still improve. If he improves during training, maybe he will be able to use himself at 100%. I think we have only seen 70-80% of his potential"

"Of course [he is more intense in matches than training], every player prefers to play than work without the ball. He needs more continuity in the physical and mental point of view. He has the opportunity to improve more and can be the best in the world"

When asked about his mission to make Hazard the best in the World, he said:

"It is an interesting challenge. He has a lot to give to himself, the team and the staff. I want everything"

The Chelsea manager also believes that Jurgen Klopp's side will be ready for tomorrow, and doesn't think that Wednesday's game will give his side the psychological advantage:

"I don't think so. It is another match, in another competition with another starting XI. I think they need to increase their determination after Wednesday. It was difficult on Wednesday and will be difficult tomorrow."

Sarri was then asked whether he thinks Liverpool can win their first ever Premier League title this season, his response?

"I think they are ready to win the Premier League."

After 8 changes in midweek, Sarri is expected to revert back to the same XI which has played most of the League season, he was asked whether any performances on Wednesday have merited any change in the team:

"I am very happy with the performances of Fabregas and Cahill. They played for 90 mins after a long time. I don't know if they are ready to play twice in a week for 90 mins, now after Weds, I am sure they will be useful in our season"

In terms of injuries for the Blues, Antonio Rudiger and Pedro are both 50/50, whilst Andreas Christensen, who was taken off ill during the second half on Wednesday, has recovered. Despite this, Sarri refused to confirm that these players will feature tomorrow.

In terms of betting, it's the league leaders Liverpool who are the slight favourites at 6/4, with Chelsea just higher at 7/4. A draw is priced at 5/2.

Eden Hazard and Mo Salah both to score is worth a punt at 11/2, but if you're feeling an outside shout, a James Milner hatrick is 750/1.

I personally think it'll be a draw, 1-1 or 2-2, but I think either side can nab it by a single goal margin, and it's bound to be an excellent game, with two title contenders playing eachother so early in the season.
