Chelsea are ready to hand their defender Antonio Rudiger a new contract in the next few weeks.

Rudiger's impressive start to the season looks to be rewarded, with the Blues keen to tie the German defender down.
The Daily Mail report that Rudiger's partnership with David Luiz has been a big factor in Chelsea's willingness to offer the central defender a contract extension.
The Chelsea defender starred in the Blues' 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Saturday, scoring his fourth goal for the club.
Rudiger has been at Stamford Bridge since 2017, signing from Italian side AS Roma for around £29m.
The Germany defender is currently on £100k-per-week but Chelsea are willing to increase his pay.
