Everton midfielder Tom Davies says he "feels like a better player" following Marco Silva's start at Everton.
Davies wasn't in Sam Allardyce's plans following his reign at the Toffees, but the Liverpool-born midfielder became the club's youngest ever captain in Wednesday night's win against Rotherham.
The England under-21 international acknowledges the disappointing season that he endured last season under Allardyce.
Davies held talks with Silva over his new role and which parts of his game he needs to improve and has since been rewarded with a consistent spot in the first-team.
"I feel like I am improving a lot under him (Silva)," Davies told Mirror Sport. "The team is definitely doing a lot better under him.
"I feel we have more of an identity now and that is down to him. He has a plan for us.
"As soon as he came in, he wanted to speak to me. He asked me what I thought were my strengths.
"He said he wanted to know my opinions because he had opinions, too. I felt he had a plan for me, and that makes me feel he is someone I can improve under.
"The way it is going so far is the way I like to play. He has a found a position that suits me so I'm looking forward to it."
