DOHERTY GOAL MAINTAINS WOLVES' STRONG FORM

A second-half goal from Matt Doherty was enough for in-form Wolves as they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace came into this game without a win in the Premier League since mid September and Roy Hodgson would have been desperate to end that against Wolves.

But Wolves would be an extremely stern test for Palace, as they were in excellent form coming into London.

The first-half was one of few chances with the away side perhaps edging it, with some dangerous counter-attacks.

Early on in the second-half, Wolves made their pressure count when Matt Doherty bagged his first goal since March.

Doherty finished well at the far post and the in-form Wolves looked like they were going to maintain their great form.

Wolves were very good on the afternoon and are looking like a top-half Premier League side (at least).

They're up to seventh in the table, whilst Palace stay in 14th place following their disappointing recent form.
