EVERTON PREVIEW: FULHAM (H)

Everton have won just 1 out of their first 6 league games and will be looking to turn their fortunes around against newly promoted Fulham.

In The Toffees last 8 league outings they have managed to only pick up one victory, a run stretching back to May.

Silva's men have failed to keep a clean sheet so far this season, showing that form clearly isn't on their side in the lead up to this game.

TEAM NEWS:

Everton are still without Seamus Coleman and summer signing Andre Gomes who remain injured, whereas Phil Jagielka returned to training this week following his knee injury.

Yerry Mina has been dealt another setback, the £27 million Columbian defender's recovery has been faltered as he struggles with an ongoing foot problem.

SILVA'S COMMENTS:

Everton boss Silva knows how much his team needs to improve if they are to reach anything near his set standards and expectations.

"We didn't achieve anything with the result last week but it was a game that will be the image of our team," Silva said.

"I want ambition, good organisation and in some moments managing the game better. A great attitude as well and trying to play to win every time has to be our ambition.

“I want to see us playing with confidence tomorrow. We have to put that intensity in the game.”

  • Everton and Fulham are two of the three clubs not to have kept a Premier League clean sheet this season, along with Brighton.
