FANTASY FOOTBALL TIPS: GAMEWEEK 4

The Premier League is back and that means Fantasy Football returns! It's getting to the point of the season where people start to forget or can't be bothered with their league anymore... Connor Whelan is here to make you carry on and beat your mates!

THE EAGLES’ SUPERSTAR

After a strong 2-0 victory over Fulham, Crystal Palace have unluckily lost to two of the best performing teams in the league so far this season.

They will look to their superstar Wilfried Zaha to help get their season back on track when they face Southampton on Saturday.

Palace will hope they can add to the Saints’ poor start to the season, and Zaha will look to capitalise on their slow defence and depleting confidence.

THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE

Sitting top of the Premier League Fantasy Football points total, Marcos Alonso has scored one goal and created four assists so far this season.

The Chelsea wing-back has fit perfectly into new boss Maurizio Sarri’s attacking style of football, providing great width and a sublime cross for his attacking teammates.

Alonso will look to continue his outstanding form as Chelsea host an over-achieving Bournemouth side who have not lost so far this season.

THE BARGAIN

The bargain of this week is Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte.

The World Cup winner has asserted himself as one of the best central-defenders in the league since joining the 2017/18 champions.

City host a Newcastle side, that if judging by the tactical display from Rafa Benitez’s men last week, will look to shut out City for three-quarters of the game.

Laporte is likely to keep a clean-sheet against the uninspiring Newcastle attack, and may provide a crucial aerial-threat in the box for set-pieces.

THE CAPTAIN

The captain for this week is Everton’s Theo Walcott.

A surprise choice for captain, this season could be the season Theo Walcott finally cements himself as the star of a high-achieving team.

With £50million man Richarlison suspended, Walcott will try to pick up on his recent form of two goals in his last two games, as well as one assist, as Everton look to the 29-year-old as their sole attacking output.

Everton face Huddersfield at Goodison Park on Saturday. Huddersfield have not won away from home since February and have conceded the joint-most goals this season in the Premier League.
