FANTASY FOOTBALL TIPS: GAMEWEEK 6

Connor Whelan (The Fantasy Football King) is back again, to give you the best tips so you can top your FPL leagues...

THE SPEED KING

After Manchester City’s shock loss in the Champions League, the side will be looking to bounce back with a dominating win away to struggling Cardiff.

One of City’s only positive notes from Wednesday’s loss was Leroy Sane, who got the assist for their only goal.

Sane has proven himself time and time again, with blistering pace to frighten every defence. Cardiff’s aging defence will not be looking forward to Sane’s visit this weekend.

THE ALL-ROUNDER

Having played in a variety of positions already this season, Leicester new signing Ricardo Pereira has proven himself as useful member of Claud Puel’s side.

Leicester tend not to concede when playing at home to less-attack threatening sides, like Huddersfield who they play this weekend.

Pereira will both be looking to keep the goals out, as well as provide assists from his bombing runs down the wing at the other end.

THE CITY SHOT STOPPER

The joint-third highest point scoring goalkeeper, Ederson has proven himself to be a perfect choice for any Fantasy Football side, even picking up an assist against Huddersfield.

Manchester City travel to face a Cardiff side who have only scored three goals all season and Ederson will be looking to make sure that number does not change.

THE BARGAIN

The bargain of the week is Liverpool’s Joe Gomez.

One of the most exciting young English prospects and already a full-international at senior level, Gomez has improved dramatically this season alongside Virgil van Dijk.

Liverpool host Southampton who are without their top scorer Danny Ings, due to him being on loan from Liverpool.

Liverpool have also not conceded a goal in the league at home since February.

THE CAPTAIN

The captain of the week is Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino.

Firmino has scored in his last two Premier League games, as well as a last-minute winner to beat PSG in Liverpool’s first Champions League game of the season.

Salah’s dip in form has allowed both Firmino and Mane to pick up where they left off last season, and Southampton will hoping all three are not at their best on Saturday.
