FRENCH FEVER AT OLD TRAFFORD

Goals either side of half-time for Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial are enough to give Manchester United maximum points at Old Trafford.
Pogba had a very questionable penalty saved by Jordan Pickford in the first-half but managed to find the net on the rebound.
Martial was set up by his compatriot Pogba and managed to curl one into the bottom corner with an excellent strike.
Gylfi Sigurdsson's penalty late on gave Everton a glimmer of hope but their efforts were shut down by a stern United defensive line.
Idrissa Gana Gueye got himself in a mess and his trailing leg was enough for Martial to go down and win United an early penalty.
Pogba stepped up and took, what seemed an age, to run up with a lot of hesitation, before producing a wonderful Pickford save, but luckily for the France midfielder; the ball fell back to him and it was 1-0 to the hosts.

Martial then doubled the Red Devils' advantage after half-time when a lay off from Pogba was met by the right foot of the forward, who finished stupendously.
It looked all but done for the travelling Toffees, but Chris Smalling gave away a stonewall penalty after Pogba gave away the ball very cheaply.
Sigurdsson stepped up and converted in a deadly fashion and suddenly, it was an anxious Old Trafford.
Martial had a glorious chance to make it 3-1 to the hosts in stoppage time, but the Frenchman took too long with his one-on-one and Pickford got down well.
Pogba insisted he does not regret his penalty run-up when speaking to Sky Sports after the game.
"At the end of the day, the most important thing is that the ball went in the net," said the France World Cup winner.
Martial also revealed that he was "very happy" with his current form, after scoring four in three Premier League games for United.
"I am happy with my form in this moment," Martial said. "I am doing my best to help the team."
