FULHAM PREVIEW: EVERTON (A)

Fulham travel to the blue side of Merseyside on Saturday, aiming to pick up their first win on the road this season against an inconsistent Everton side.

Slaviša Jokanovic has guided his team to 15th in the league so far, but the Cottagers will be keen to climb the table sooner or later.

TEAM NEWS:

It is likely that both Neeskens Kebano and Tom Cairney will miss out again (with the former potentially fit enough to get a spot on the bench).

Idrissa Gana Gueye, Bernard and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are all available for Everton, but Marco Silva will not be able to call upon the injured Seamus Coleman.

WHAT THE MANAGER SAYS:

Jokanović was full of praise for the Toffees and their facilities ahead of the game on Saturday:

“Everton is a really good team… We talk about the top-six English teams, and if we add Everton then we start talking about a top-seven.

“Many years ago I played at Goodison. It’s a fantastic place to play football. They are a complicated and tough opponent in front of us.”

However, the gaffer was equally as determined to send a message to his side:

“We are here to win the games, this is the only target for us. We’ve only won one, we desperately need the points and we will push hard to win the game.

“We are going to arrive there with motivation and intention of fighting for three points.”

STATS:

Only Cardiff and Huddersfield have conceded more than the 13 goals conceded by Fulham in the league so far.

Moreover, the Cottagers have failed to beat the Toffees in the league since 2009 (P9 L7 since then).

In terms of positives for Fulham, only Eden Hazard has a better mins/goal ratio than Aleksandar Mitrovic’s 103 in the top 12 scorers in the Premier League.

However, Brazilian international Richarlison’s 101 minutes per goal could cause Fulham problems.

BETTING ODDS:

Fulham are big underdogs at 18/5 to win, whilst Everton are 4/6 to take 3 points. A draw is 3/1.

I believe Fulham will earn a solid away point in an entertaining 1-1 draw.
