GIROUD COULD LEAVE FOR EUROPA LEAGUE CLUB

Olivier Giroud is reportedly on the radar of Turkish giants Besiktas, who hope to sign the Frenchman on a free from Chelsea.

Turkish outlet Fanatik broke the story stating that Besiktas will look to sign the 31-year-old on a free transfer after his current deal at Stamford Bridge expires.

The World Cup winner has been in good form despite not scoring and is often favoured by the fans to Alvaro Morata, whose form is too inconsistent.

Despite his cult hero status at Stamford Bridge, the 6ft 4 target man is approaching 32 years-old and only managed 3 goals at Chelsea since his move in January.

While he is arguably the best striker Chelsea currently have, ultimately for the Blues to really make the most out of boss Maurizio Sarri's tactical prowess, a more agile faster striker is needed.

Should the Blues allow the Frenchman to depart Stamford Bridge, it would open the door to the likes of Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuyai, both of whom are out on loan.

Chelsea travel to Greece to face PAOK Thursday in the Europa League, followed by another away match at West Ham on Sunday.
