Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has signed a new long-term deal at Anfield - prolonging his seven year stay...
Henderson signed for Liverpool when he was brought in by Kenny Dalglish from Sunderland for a deal worth around £20m.
Since his arrival, the England international has clocked 284 appearances for the Reds and has scored 24 goals.
Henderson was made captain, when he replaced Steven Gerrard as the skipper, following his move to America.
"It doesn't seem like too long ago since I signed my first one - it feels like yesterday really - but a lot has happened since then," Henderson told Liverpool's official website.
"I feel like it's been a progressive journey for me throughout my time here and one I've enjoyed so much.
"There is no other place in the world I'd rather play football. I want to be here for as long as I can be.
"I'm so privileged to have been a part of this club for so long, and hopefully even longer now."
Henderson is now on international duty with England, before returning for Liverpool's crunch match with Tottenham Hotspur.
