HUDDERSFIELD VS CRYSTAL PALACE: MATCH PREVIEW

Struggling Huddersfield host Crystal Palace at the Kirklees Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they look to kickstart their season...

Huddersfield head into the game in 17th place with only two points from their opening four games.

Is there a sign of a Huddersfield revival? The Terriers managed to get a great result at Goodison Park last time out, drawing 1-1.

As for Crystal Palace, they too have started the season disappointingly, with just three points and only two places ahead of Huddersfield.

TEAM NEWS:

The hosts are still without their captain Jonathan Hogg as he serves the final game of his suspension following his red card against Cardiff in August.

Juninho Bacuna and Collin Quaner are both still uncertain for Town and will be assessed closer to the time.

Palace pair Wilfried Zaha and James Tomkins both returned to training this week following injury and are both expected to be back.

Christian Benteke will miss the game with a knee injury.

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY:

Huddersfield manager David Wagner was full of praise for his opposite number Roy Hodgson in his pre-match press conference.

"He is a legend here in England," Wagner claimed. "I don't imagine how you can still be a manager at 71!

"He turned Palace around last season. For sure I won't be a manager at any football club at that age."

Hodgson is too expecting a tough game as they travel up north in a game which is huge for them to not be tied down near the relegation zone.

"Huddersfield had a tough start against Manchester City and Chelsea, and they are perhaps expected to lose those, because they are not in the same ball park as Man City or Chelsea," Hodgson said.

"This is a home game against a team they will regard as being in the same area as them,. They will be doing all they can to get the three points, and we are aware of that. But we have to show we are as anxious to get the three points."

BETTING ODDS/PREDICTION:

Palace are slight favourites going into this one, on Bet365 - you can get the visitors at 6/4 on to pick up the three points.

A draw is 21/10 and a home win is 23/10 and looking at the two sides and how they've both started their seasons, a draw looks very tempting.

I'm going for 1-1 at the Kirklees, with Huddersfield equalising late on for the points to be shared.
