Huddersfield Town have won their first game of the Premier League season thanks to a Timothy Fosu-Mensah own-goal in the first-half.
The win takes Huddersfield up two places into 18th place; with Fulham dropping to the Terriers' previous position of rock-bottom in 20th.
Fosu-Mensah's own-goal ended Huddersfield's baron spell in front of goal at the Kirklees Stadium.
Philipp Billing had the best chance for the home team early on, when his fantastic long-range effort cannoned off the crossbar.
Huddersfield had another chance through Alex Pritchard, who rounded Fulham excellently before his shot was well saved by Sergio Rico.
But almost immediately after, the Terriers took the lead when Schindle rose the highest in the Fulham box and headed it towards goal, with Timothy Fosu-Mensah claiming the unwanted own-goal.

Huddersfield had their first home goal of the season via a fortunate deflection, but the home fans couldn't care less.
After the break, Aaron Mooy had a wonderful chance to double his team's advantage, but couldn't keep his six-yard effort down.
Pritchard came close again for a dominant Huddersfield, but the forward's shot whistled over the bar.
Fulham were struggling to create anything going forward and the under-pressure manager Slaviska Jokanovic's frustration was clear for everyone to see.
The Cottagers didn't pose any more danger in terms of chances to trouble the Terriers, with the hosts holding onto an important three points in Yorkshire.
STATS:
- Huddersfield's first-half goal was their first at the Kirklees Stadium in 659 minutes of football, since Tom Ince's goal in their 1-0 win against Watford in April.
- There are no longer any winless Premier League teams left this season, thanks to Huddersfield and Newcastle's recent wins.
- The win was David Wagner's 50th as the Huddersfield manager.
THE MANAGERS:
Huddersfield boss Wagner believes his team "were the team who really wanted to win" and is "delighted" for his side.
"It's huge for us," Wagner said. "We have now the winning feeling back, and a clean sheet as well.
"For sure, it is one of the most important wins we have had in the last three years, because after 10 games without a win and some unlucky situations, everyone needed to get the belief back and we have done that today.
"We are back in the race after 11 games of the season. If you look at the fixtures we have had, they have not been the easiest, and if you look at the ahead of us there are teams around our position coming up, and they will be open games.
"We were the team who really wanted to win today, and I'm delighted for the players."
Fulham boss Jokanovic is adamant he is the right man to keep Fulham in the Premier League; despite his side slumping to the bottom of the table after the defeat.
"We didn't deserve much today," Jokanovic admitted. "In the first 45 minutes we did not have intensity, and it did not give us enough space to move the ball."
"We were passing it without any sense. We put another midfielder in for the second half, but still missed the quality.
"I convince myself [I am right for the job] and that's it, I don't need to convince other people or think about that, I am thinking about myself and my team.
"The season is a long one, after 11 games Crystal Palace were bottom last season with four points. Everything is open, we are not at our best level at the moment, and we need to improve."
