Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has confirmed winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will start one of the Blues' next two Premier League games.
Hudson-Odoi has made six appearances in the league for Chelsea, but is yet to start a league encounter for the club.
The 18-year-old actually started a match for England before he did for his club side, impressing away at Montenegro last week.
Many assumed Hudson-Odoi would start against Cardiff City at the weekend, where Chelsea struggled to a 2-1 victory in Wales, but he was an unused substitute.
Chelsea face Brighton on Wednesday night, and they also face West Ham United at Stamford Bridge next Monday.
Sarri has confirmed that his highly-rated winger, who has been linked with a move away from London, will start one of these games.
"In pre-season, after four or five training sessions, I realised that Callum was a player with very great potential," Sarri said in his pre-match press conference.
"In my opinion, in that moment, he wasn't ready to play at this level, but during the season he has improved and he is ready.
"I decided at the beginning of the season, that he has to stay with us and I put him in the squad. I know Callum very well. I want him to improve because the potential is high.
"Callum is always in my mind, in my opinion, he is our future. He is ready to play."
